Elevated by the Amazon Kindle Daily Deal

Waiting for the elusive Kindle Daily Deal email is like waiting for an invitation to your favorite celebrities party. You hope and dream that the day will come when your invitation will appear in your mail. What do you do when it finally shows up? I’ll tell you what I did. I sat, staring at the computer screen. I was sure that it was real. I checked the address and the date, and when I was finally convinced that it was real, I hyperventilated.

Once I caught my breath. I took the time to read the email again. (Copied Bellow)

I get the Daily Deals email every day and have since 2017 when I bought my first Kindle Tablet since I had no more room for paperbacks in my house. It may mean nothing to anyone else, but for me knowing that on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, a book written by me will be featured among the books that Amazon feels are worthy of getting a deal is a huge pat on the back.

The Kindle Daily Deal is still a mystery. Though you can now nominate your books for this honor, no one knows how the selection is made. We can guess, and I’ve done just that. I believe that Kindle looks at sales, of course, but they may also be looking at how many verified reviews the book receives and how many of those are positive reviews. Ultimately, Amazon wants to make money, and by promoting a book that has been selling well, they can and often make much more money. The cool thing is that you will, even at a reduced price. The biggest boon to having a Kindle Daily Deal is getting new eyes on your product. People that you may not have reached with any of your regular marketing efforts.

The Kindle Daily Deal may even get you on a list like Amazon Charts or the New York Times Best Sellers List. I’m curious to see where this deal could get me. I’d be happy with increased sales and readership, but I have my eye on making it on one of the best sellers lists someday.
