I started working on the first Road Beasts Book a few days ago. It’s going well, but I think this book is moving too slowly. It starts with a bit of action, but now that has passed and the main characters are getting to know each other a bit. There’s also not enough heat between them. The crazy part is, that all of the Silver Fox Books started the same way. I know that at some point, I’ll hit that Yeehaw moment and everything will fall into place. I have more time to write this first book than I usually give myself, but I wonder if I’m just better at writing under pressure.

The Watson Weddings is finished. My editor loves it. I hope the readers will too.

Today has been a phenomenal day. Captivating Carla is #1 in the hot new release category of Black and African American Literary Fiction. I was expecting to get to the top ten. I am pleasantly surprised.

I write and twist and rewrite, always hoping that I will do the story idea justice. When I’ve finished, I am proud and love everything about the story, but then that little seed of doubt creeps in and all I can focus on until the reviews start to show is, will they get it? Will they like the characters? Did I mess it up? After The first few reviews come in I can breathe again.

I have got nothing productive done because I am so excited that this series is doing well enough for me to hire an editor and a narrator to put the books on audible.

Road Beast News:

Votes are coming in and right now it looks ask if Bear will be the first book in the series, but Hawk is getting votes as well. His love interest is talking her but off, telling me to get started writing. She’s confident that her and Bear’s story will be the first published. I told her to sit her behind down somewhere and be quiet. The Watson Weddings come first.

She wasn’t happy and pouted like a big ole baby.
