I had an idea for a new story about a successful black woman who is in and unusual career and has maximized it with a YouTube following that turns into a television show deal. She moves to Dallas and buys a large home in an affluent neighborhood. She meets her neighbor who is fascinated with her.

I hate having to work. All I want to do is write my stories. I’m so tired when I get home that I can’t write.
The story is coming along. Since I spend all day in my car, I’m starting to record my thoughts and plan out the scenes ahead of time. Then I can sit and write on the days I’m not working. Writing a few thousand words a day won’t cut it. I have to maximize my writing time and spit out at least five thousand words at each session to get this done.

I finished the book and I am now writing five thousand words a session. Woohoo! I’ve asked my friend J. to proofread and edit since her sphincter is extremely tight when it comes to writing.

I’m not happy with what I got back and the time it took to get it. Word to my future self, don’t get your friends involved in your business.
